Three one-of-a-kind skeins of handspun wool yarn, spun by hand from my Border Leicester Sheep in Maine

This bundle combines a blue, teal and natural handspun with two super chunky art skeins carrying small touches of blue, coral, pink and other colors throughout.

The variation in thickness, twist and color is intentional and part of the character of handspun yarn.
This is a wonderful weaving yarn for warp on a 4 shaft or rigid heddle loom. You will want an 8 dent or less reed.
It will be sticky in the 7.5 rhl reed but you will get a solid fabric.

It is not a next to skin wool but it is not super course. It is very enjoyable to weave with and I use it in rugs and bag making. Could also serve vests and outer wear.

• Blue/multicolor skein — 4.1 oz, approximately 84 yards
• Two chunky natural/multicolor skeins — 4.4 oz combined, approximately 31 yards
• Total weight — 8.5 oz
• Total yardage — approximately 115 yards

All skiens have been washed and fulled and ready to go!

This is true handspun yarn, so the diameter varies throughout. The natural skeins are considerably chunkier than the blue skein. Please look closely at the photographs for the texture and scale.

A great little collection for weaving, art weaving, hats and accessories, accents, mixed-fiber projects, or any project where the texture of handspun yarn can be allowed to show.
