Rich texture and natural contrast make this one-of-a-kind handwoven scarf something you won't find twice.
I wove it from wool processed and spun here on my small Maine farm, combining a fine natural dark-brown lambswool with soft handspun Angora. The variation in the Angora creates raised, irregular lines and soft tufts across the cloth, while the dark wool underneath gives the texture definition.
The dark brown lambswool is the first fleece ever shorn from the sheep. A sheep only produces one true lamb fleece in its lifetime, and that first fleece is prized for its softness and fineness.
The scarf is finished with hand-twisted dark brown fringe and has a wonderfully organic, slightly wild character. No Dyes used. Completely Organic.
