🐔 Meet Henny Penny — a one-of-a-kind handbag rooted in Americana and folk art tradition, made entirely from wool raised, spun, and dyed by hand in Maine.
🐑 This piece began with wool from my own sheep, raised and cared for here in Maine. The fiber was spun into yarn and dyed specifically for this handbag before being crocheted into its final form.

The result is a substantial, textured wool handbag with natural variation throughout the denim blue body. A rich red comb and warm golden beak bring contrast, while the needle felted blue spotted egg closure adds an adorable whimsical detail only folk art can bring.

💪 With over 12 ounces of wool, this bag has real presence — soft yet sturdy, with a weight and feel that reflects the material it’s made from. This is not like other bags. The material alone sets it above the top and is nothing like commercial yarn.

Cleaning if needed. Spot clean or hand wash with warm water and mild soap with gentle agitation. gently squeeze dripping water and remove excess water by rolling in a towel and dry flat to shape. wool holds its shape the way you set it up.
